Herman van der Merwe graduated with a Masters in Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch prior to completing his Articles with PricewaterhouseCoopers Stellenbosch.  His professional career started in 1981 and from 1982 – 1988 he held the position of Head of Department of Accounting, and Professor, at the University of the Western Cape.  In 1991 Herman started his own business, later named Logista Incorporated, which formed part of a South African Network with a firm of a similar name in Pretoria.  In 2007 he left to start HVM.  Herman holds multiple positions, on various boards, and Chairmanships including; the Boland College Council, Chairman of the Stellenbosch Entrepreneur and Enterprise Development Trust, Chairman of the RUVUMA Support Partnership for work in North Eastern Mozambique and Chairman of the Board of the National Institute of the Deaf in Worcester (NID). Herman's fields of expertise include, corporate structuring, taxation, ethics and training for accountants.

Christa Niemand has been with HVM since 2008, after finishing her Articles at ASL Incorporated.  Her education is from the University of South Africa (UNISA) where she completed a BCompt degree in 2006. She originated from the Overberg and was appointed as a director in May 2021. Her field of expertise: accounting, taxation and accounting software implementation and training

Adeline graduated with a degree in BCom Management Accounting at the University of Stellenbosch in 2004. During 2005 she completed her B.Compt. degree at the University of South Africa (UNISA). She finished her Articles at ASL Incorporated in 2008 and worked with Money in Motion CC for 11 years before joining HVM in 2020. Her field or expertise: salary and tax administration
